EFET announcement - Seizure of Polish meat without indications

E.F.E.T. and in particular the Regional Directorate of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace, in the context of the controls it carries out and after evaluating relevant information, found that a refrigerated truck with Polish plates (WGM 78M3, WZ9431P) transported fresh deboned meats, packed anaerobically and in white cartons with a complete lack of indications, both in the first and second packaging.

The cargo was seized and, according to the accompanying commercial documents and laboratory tests carried out by the agency, it is a "cargo of beef, net weight 9,934 kg, loaded by the Polish company "Agra Podlasie Sp.zoo, 05- 462 Duchnow, ul Gory Warszawskie 25", was destined for the company "FOTIS KATSAKIS & SIAAE-AVATO" and was transported with the transport company "Kampol-Lux Sp.zoo, Ul. Plac Pilsudskiego 5, 05-500 Piaseczno'.

The consignment of beef in question was deemed unfit for human consumption and approved for use for processing into animal feed.
