Information on the recall of "Leonidas chocolates" products

EFET was informed through the Early Warning System for Food and Feed (RASFF) about the distribution of "chocolate" products of Belgian origin, in the raw material of which the presence of peanuts, an ingredient not mentioned on the product label, was detected. Peanuts are an ingredient that can cause an allergy and affect people who are sensitive to it.

These are the products with the trade name "Leonidas Ballotin rouge mix", in a package of 750g, with batch numbers 041715800 and 040315800, which were manufactured by the Belgian company "Confiserie Léonidas SA" and distributed in the Duty Free Shops of the Athens International Airport "Eleftherios" Venizelos" (Spata).

EFET demanded it immediate revocation / withdrawal of the specific products in order to correct the labeling and the relevant checks are already underway.

Consumers who have purchased the above products are invited (photos below) and are allergic to peanuts, not to consume them.
