Ε.Φ.Ε.Τ. Update on the revocation of "VIRGIN OLIVE OIL"

E.F.E.T. and in particular the Regional Directorate of Epirus, in the context of the controls it carries out and in collaboration with the 1st Chemical Service of Athens of the State General Chemistry, found the circulation of Virgin Olive Oil, in which the absorption in the ultraviolet spectrum was found to exceed the permissible limit. Based on the above result, the olive oil falls into the category "GLOWING" and becomes inedible as it is.

Specifically, it is the product "Virgin Olive Oil" PARGA in a 5L metal package with a minimum shelf life date of August 20, 2015. The product is manufactured and packaged by the company: "GEORGIOS ZOTOS & SIA O.E.", Agia Prevezis, Preveza.

E.F.E.T. demanded the immediate recall / withdrawal of the entire specific lot of the above product and the relevant controls are already underway. Consumers who have already purchased the above product are requested not to consume it.
