Manifestation - osteoporosis and scoliosis

The Skeletal Health Association, Petalouda, in collaboration with the Municipality of Kalamaria, invite you to participate in the 3-day event on Skeletal Health & the informative talks they are organizing on Saturday, April 05, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. on the topic: "Osteoporosis, the silent epidemic-Kyphosis/Scoliosis, a known-unknown condition", at the "Votsi" Theater of Alexander the Great & St. Thrace (5The Kalamaria High School).

The main goal of the event is to inform the world by specialized scientists about osteoporosis, kyphosis-scoliosis, prevention, nutrition and much more.

The event will include two main parts: carrying out free measurements of bone density and kyphosis-scoliosis, and conducting informative talks by specialized scientists.

 The exams for osteoporosis, will take place on April 04 & 05, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Multipurpose Welfare Center of the Deputy Mayor of Social Policy & Public Health Solidarity, Papanikola 18 & Amisou 5, at 2The floor. The exams for kyphosis-scoliosis, will take place on April 04, 05 & 06, 10:00-20:00 at the Multipurpose Welfare Center of the Deputy Mayor of Social Policy & Public Health Solidarity, Papanikola 18 & Amisou 5, at 2The floor, at the Municipal Clinic. Measurements will be made by appointment only. Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Admission to the talks is free for everyone.

The event is open to people of all ages who are interested in learning about a health issue that can easily turn into a problem with serious implications. The "Butterfly" Skeletal Health Association advocates that information is the principle of prevention and proper rehabilitation and advises both the young and the elderly to monitor health issues even if they do not directly concern them.
