Educational programs with Anonymous Superfoods

"Overeaters Anonymous: Experience, Power, Hope for Healthy Weight and Healthy Eating Behaviors”

The Department Regional Libraries of the Municipality of Thessaloniki in collaboration with Anonymous Superfoods of Thessaloniki and on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the founding of AY, they are organizing an educational program for adults in municipal libraries.

Overeaters Anonymous, since 1960 in America and since 1997 in our city, offers a self-help program for healthy weight and healthy eating behaviors, which copies the 12-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous and involves a large part of society as it is aimed at men and women of all ages with weight or eating problems, such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating, obesity.

The training program will take place in two meetings.

The first meeting will include information on Overeaters Anonymous' volunteer-based peer support program for all eating disorders. 
The second will be a meeting of Overeaters Anonymous, open to the public with an indicative theme:

• The role of eating helplessness acceptance in coping.

• Healthy weight with self-care (physical – emotional – spiritual).

• From the pressure of dieting to the freedom of abstinence from compulsive overeating.

• Symptoms of eating disorders.

• Healthy diet, healthy relationships.
