EFET announcement for adulterated olive oils with fat foreign to olive oil.

EFET and specifically the Regional Directorate of Central Macedonia, in the context of the controls it carries out and in cooperation with the Second Chemical Service of Thessaloniki, found the distribution of products that are sold as olive oils with the following indications:

A) EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL – LAKONIA

B) EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL – MANI LAKONIA

C) EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL – MANI LAKONIA

But, from their examination, it turned out that they are SEEDS CONTAINING A FATTY SUBSTANCE FOREIGN TO THE OLIVE OIL.

Specifically, these are the following products:

A) Product with the trade name "LACONIA", in a package of 5 L and expiry date 31-12-2016, which additionally bears the indications "LAKONIA EPE, 5^The km. GYTHEIOU – MONEMVASIAS».

B) Product with the trade name "MANI LAKONIA", in a package of 1 L and expiry date 30-4-2015, which additionally bears the indications "VERGOPOULOS G. KON/ NOS, MANI OF LAKONIA».

C) Product with the trade name "MANI OF LAKONIA", in a package of 1 L and expiry date 30-12-2016, which additionally bears the indications "OLIVE GROWING LAKONIAS SA, 20^o SPARTIS – GYTHEIOU, KROCEES LAKONIA».

The above seed oils are sold by the companies "PRE-CUT STOP", based at 4^The km. KATERINIS – P. KERAMIDIOU and "KOUMLELIS NIKOL. ANASTASIOS", with registered office at ELEFTHERIO - KORDELIO, 16 X. TRIKOUPI street, while it was owned by the company "HATZIVASILEIOU DIM. PANAGIOTIS", based in MOURIES, KILKIS.

EFET demanded the immediate recall / withdrawal of all the specific lots from the above NORMAL – COUNTERFEIT products from the internal market and the relevant controls are already underway.

Consumers who have already purchased the above products are invited not to consume them.
